  • Back to back...

Seasons one through seven of BtVS, back to back over a week.... I've never felt so physically or emotionally drained. I've laughed, cried and everything in between.... I've either hit the male menopause or I've just experienced, for about the 20th time, the most amazing television program ever written. And I can't wait to do it all again

I do this every few years or so. So amazing watching it all the way through isnt it?

I love watching it all the way through with hindsight because you notice so many little things which are foreshadowing etc.

the nonsensical vocabulary of Buffy and Spike

First time I watched Buffy I did it in 8 days. Thankfully it was my senior year of high school and I didn't have anything else I actually needed to do. I definitely think it's the best way to watch Buffy (or any serialized drama). There are so many nuances within the show that you can pick up on more easily if you're watching the episodes back-to-back. All the subtle references to earlier seasons, the gradual changes in the characters across a season (or series) arc. Plus, as a first time viewer, I'd probably have pulled my hair out in between seasons 2 and 3, seasons 5 and 6, and I Was Made To Love You and The Body if I had to wait.

I admire your stamina. S1-7 usually takes me about 3 months to get through comfortably.

Whoa!! A week to watch the whole series?? Dang dude... Major props to you!
I agree that it's better to watch it straight through. You definitely do catch little things you may have missed out on if you weren't watching episodes back to back.

Holy mackerel, how on Earth did you do that in just a week?! Well done, 2 thumbs up! It usually takes me several months to get through the entire series... Were you sick with the flu or just extremely dedicated hehe? I wish I had your stamina!

I'm a single father and usually look after my daughter full-time, but she was with her mother for two weeks so I thought what the hell lol! It was my second Buffy marathon this year, though the first one took the best part of a month I'm already halfway through season two again although I suspect it will probably be well after Halloween before I get to finish season seven

I usually wait four to five months before doing another rewatch.
And maybe I take two or three months to finish it all.

But yeah, it amazes me how in every single rewatch, we still see the awesomeness and the little nuances in the show.
