You keep waiting for the dust to settle and then you realize it; the dust is your life going on. If happy comes along - that weird unbearable delight that's actual happy - I think you have to grab it while you can. You take what you can get, 'cause it's here, and then...gone.

S12 makes anything else look good. People might not like elements of other storylines but S12 has no redeeming qualities to it at all. I still wake up thinking a police officer? She's joined the patriarchy? Noooo!!!!

    Thanks for creating the poll.

Season 12 is terrible, awful, poorly written and quite upsetting . . . but Buffy and Angel having spacesex will always be worse. They were f***ing a world into existence. Their orgasm bought forth a new reality. I hated it then and I hate it now. I can live with Season 12 because I don't believe it.

I hated the space sex mostly because it was stupid. I hated that Angel was twighlight more. I could have accepted Angelus as the big bad, but Angel? That's character assassination at its worst.

S12 was the big finale. The thing we're all supposed to remember and the franchise conclusion. Just the the memory of it makes me throw up a little.

          All caught up.

All said regarding writers, producers, actors, directors, viewers, readers, etc. are what I remember, my opinions, etc.

          * I'm not sure how Season 12 is somehow worse than Season 10 and especially Season 11. Buffy and Spike broke up? We STILL don't know what from IDW is canon. Spike is possibly alive in the time of flying cars. It's possible Spike has Spider and Co. back. Buffy can still be with Spike in Heaven. She can have children and such before then. And Spike still has: Drusille Keeble, Harmony Kendall, Beck (if canon), Maria Harley aka Spider (if canon), and Morgan. And Beck's the only one of those who is possibly not an unaging immortal.

Buffy was a diner waitress in a poor part of Los Angeles.

Buffy was a fast food worker.

          Buffy was a coffee waitress.

I'm not sure how being a police officer in a specialized unit in a very nice part of California is somehow worse.

Buffy being a police officer was a long running joke, like a world without shrimp.

Andrew, ANDREW!, has a better career now than Buffy at the watchers council.

Buffy is handing out speeding tickets and filling out reports and paying her dues until she earns placement within the supernatural division. Are you effing kidding me?

Anything would have been better. She could have been a highly paid and respected consultant to the police force, better yet she could be running the watchers council with Andrew and Giles reporting to her.

Putting it like that GoSpuffy you've made me think how realistic and feminist it is. A mediocre man gets a better job than the superior woman

Hmmm...the Big Bang? Though I'm not sure the actual singularity that brought the real universe into existence involved actual curled toes - I still shudder at that.

It's S12 for me. For all the reasons GoSpuffy lists.

Season 12, although horrible, is not worse than curled-toed-literal-big-bang

Big Bang was excruciatingly bad...but funny. Did you know they were doing the reverse cow girl - according to this: https://whatculture.com/comics/10-le...-scenes?page=5

Confirmed by this at 4.53 (you're welcome ) also 8.26. You can thank me for watching it later.

S12 was excruciatingly bad but NOT funny. I rest my case.

What gets me is how their's no build up to Angel being Twilight.

Read "Angel After the Fall" then read "Buffy Season 8". It's like night and day in terms of characterization.

"Buffy Season 12" really doesn't bother me cause I stopped caring after the one-two punch of "Angel & Faith Season 10", and "Angel Season 11" which pointlessly resurrected Fred/destroyed Illyria's character development.

                        Voted space sex again.

So much agreed. I never managed to care as much about the DH comics as the IDW ones, and Twilight is not "my" Angel. I hate what DH did to both Angel and Illyria!

Season 12 is far from perfect - it's messy, it's derivative and the fact that Buffy ends up being a cop is completely insulting, it's, like, opposite to what the franchise stands for ideologically, philosophically and whatnot and-

                            BUFFY SHOULD'VE BEEN A FIREFIGHTER!!!

However, space sex is still the worst. Space sex will always be the worst. It's like this fewer dream of coked-out 50-something turbo-nerd, like, a porn parody except an actual porn parody would never pull off something this garbage. I mean, I've read some demented, bottom of the barrel, obviously-mentally-ill-author-using-google-translate pwp trash and space sex is still worse. It shouldn't exist! It should not exist, seriously! And it doesn't even make sense, lore-wise, continuity and whatnot but most importantly, it doesn't make sense psychologically. Humans don't act like that Joss, what is wrong with you?

The space sex is easily worse. Season 12 has issues and it would have been so sweet if Buffy had been a firefighter, they clearly were trying to keep everyone happy, but there is scope there to picture whatever you want following and the overall message about being able to carve the future is a positive one that is in keeping with the show for me. I prefer to think their lives are ongoing rather than to have seen them end, so I can work with it.

I have to say it's been a lot of years since I read AtF and S8 but I don't think it is totally out of left field for Angel to be pulled into believing he has a greater destiny and to make decisions for the greater good regardless of others. The hubris that was needed for agreeing to Twilight isn't new characterisation. But I can't remember exactly what I felt about his blinkered behaviour once the plan started and the idea of victimising Buffy didn't create enough of a blaring warning foghorn for him that this wasn't turning out to be the sort of plan the good guys have. Probably to do with the vague 'sometimes' possession, I don't remember. Anyway, S12 has issues but a great deal of those I can label as it not being what I would have liked to see so I tell myself to work with what we got because it is what it is. The imagery of the space sex is something I didn't have to be subjected to at all.
