HTML is turned off for security reasons.

Please do not use html in your posts or messages. If you are copy and pasting something from another website and you are having problems with it showing, then it may have html in it. This could be in the form of a website link or a viewable image or an emoji or a special chacter. I am not sure this is the reason we have errors posting.

Some html code can be simply swapped with our Bulletin Board code by changing the greater than/ less than signs with bracket signs. Other BB code needs to done using the buttons in the advanced post editor.

  • Hello guys I need help, how do you add links on a image slide show. But each image within the slideshow would have different links?

    this is the code I have so far?
    Spoiler:

    <head>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    $(document).ready(function(){});</script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var image1 = new Image()
    image1.src = "http://thelasttear.left-unspoken.net/RWALLPAPER.jpg"
    var image2 = new Image()
    image2.src = "http://thelasttear.left-unspoken.net/Wallpapers/ThePacific/SLIDESHOWHUNGER.jpg"
    var image3 = new Image()
    image3.src =""
    </script>

    <body>
    <img src="http://thelasttear.left-unspoken.net/RWALLPAPER.jpg" name="slide" style="border:none;"><script type="text/javascript">
    var step=1;
    function slideit()
    {
    document.images.slide.src = eval("image"+step+".src");
    if(step<2)
    step++;
    else
    step=1;
    setTimeout("slideit()",3000);
    }
    slideit();

    //--></script>

    I would be so grateful.

      Hi
      Sorry for being very straightforward: I'm at work

      First of all..
      you should put your script in a .js file, and then include it in the html file, not like ths.

      Second:
      <script type="text/javascript">
      $(document).ready(function(){});</script>

      Is very pointless this way. What it does is that the scripts INSIDE the { and } will be called after the document has fully loaded. This is to prevent the page to half load, then load all javascript and be empty.

      Thirdly: you should not have your javascript code inside your html elements....

      I would advise you to include jQuery first.
      Then use either this plugin: http://caroufredsel.dev7studios.com/
      or this one: http://www.gmarwaha.com/jquery/jcarousellite/

      Then write your html like this:

      HTML Code:
      <ul class="image-carousel">
        <li>
          <a href="link.html"><img src="image.jpg" alt="image alt text" /></a>
        </li>
        <li>
          <a href="link.html"><img src="image.jpg" alt="image alt text" /></a>
        </li>
      </ul>
      And in your own scripts.js you write:

      $(document).ready(function(){

      function imageCarousel(){
      $('.image-carousel').carouFredSel();
      });

      or

      function imageCarousel(){
      $('.image-carousel').jCarouselLite();
      });

      // call your functions:
      imageCarousel();

      });

      depending on which you choose to use.
